As of September 2016 our academy is an official World Thai Boxing Association (WTBA) affiliate member. This is a continuation of a long-standing relationship with the teachers, students, and fighters that have developed under Grand Master Surachai Sirisute beginning in 1968. The exciting changes coming from the WTBA are a unified curriculum and system of advancement that will ensure students learn Muay Thai is a safe and structured environment. Our Muay Thai foundations program has been time-tested by master instructors across the country and proven to develop students potential through Muay Thai.
At NAK² Muay Thai we follow the path set by Ajarn Chai, founder of the World Thai Boxing Association, as well as the spirit of authentic Muay Thai currently being practiced in Thailand. The core attributes of the Muay Thai fighter is to be humble and disciplined. Ajarn Chai has taught us that being a champion is not about talent, but about discipline and respect. A Muay Thai fighter must also have courage and conditioning in equal measure to stand up the intense physical confrontation of a fight. Most students will not aspire to fight in the ring, but training these attributes in a fun and safe environment provides a unique opportunity to improve as a person in the everyday fights of life.
The trainers at NAK² Muay Thai will take you from simple techniques and basic conditioning all the way to advanced combinations and techniques used in the professional fighting rings of Thailand. Along the way, you will make lifelong friends, get in incredible shape, lose weight, learn to defend yourself, and find that you are capable of more than you ever imagined.
