Barry has been a martial artist for over 20 years with a focus on Muay Thai and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. After years of study and personal experience with the tremendous benefits of martial arts training, he has dedicated his life to passing this on to others. Barry has a special appreciation for the ability of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to empower a wide range of people including children by providing real-world self-defense, a positive lifestyle message, and cooperative group training environment. Barry completed the Gracie Academy Instructor Certification Program in July of 2014 and earned his purple belt from Ryron in September of 2018. Barry is also a certified Muay Thai instructor under Ajarn Chai Sirisute and the World Thai Boxing Association.
Jenny is the co-owner and instructor at NAK2 Academy in Issaquah, WA. In addition to years of athletic training in yoga, group exercise, and May Thai; Jenny is also a mother of three daughters. After getting frustrated by the challenges of learning BJJ in a sportive setting along with seeing her kids drop out of Jiu-Jitsu, Jenny sought help and found Gracie University. The structure and presentation provided by Ryron and Rener was a perfect match! Jenny is also proud to say that all three daughters have recently passed their Orange/White belt tests through the Gracie Academy and are excited to continue there Gracie Jiu-Jitsu journey.
